I'm working on a new track. I;m happy with how it's sounding, but i was wondering if there was anything you guys had to offer in the way of advice and tweaks?

I resequenced the old SNES Sonic game. It's been fun and people who have no idea what hardcore is seem to like it..

the back synth (i think), that stay on one key for like 1 min, that should be changed, like how it starts changeing key after 1:01.. do something like that then it will sound awesome
and mabe the snare...
imo tho, im no pro

Something about it just doesn't seem right to me and I can't put my finger on what it is. I'd love to work on it though as it sounds like it could be a fun track in the end.

Ahh spot on :)
i knew something wasnt right about it, I just didnt know what.
I'll do some more tonight perhaps.. since im using half a montor since one side is smashed, it could be tricky..
as for the snare, I'll exeriement with some new sounds. Perhaps a lightly longer snare/clap like the one from 'one with the beat'.

the tracks got potential, as Triquatra reinforced, and I really don't want to let it go to waste..

I swear to god all these old skool game remixes if someone does the one i wanna do before me im gonna go sick lol.
Im not sure but i think it drifts out of key in places, might just be me - its hard to tell with everything going on i think its the pad just doesnt seem right to me. And a bit too much panning on it i think. I wouldnt have the pads playing as much as you have either, sounds good in the break, but id like the track to have been a bit more stompy and ravey, rather than ambient with pads throughout. Sounds like its got some potential though and a collab could bring in some more elements into the mix and make for a crackin lil tune. Good luck with it mate, would like to hear it when its all finished.

thats great feedback, I'll have a look at the FLP, then prepare it for Mortis to have a go :)
