Hi
I'm Georgia from Mixcloud.com, an innovative new website we've just launched, that helps DJs distribute and promote their mixes and radio shows more effectively, whilst helping fans like you easily discover relevant DJs and content.
We were getting frustrated with the ubiquitous "MegaRapidFileUpload" file sharing services that are currently used by DJs and so we decided to do something about it.
Feel free to have a look around the site, it's already filling up with mixes and shows from a whole host of DJs and artists, everyone from Tiefshwarz to Atomic Hooligan, Dixon to Jesse Rose.
So if you want to hear their content and share your own then just click on 'sign up' in the top right hand corner and use invite code: forum.

cool, though one of the reasons so many of us use those other sites is because people dont have to sign up to download mixes, there are so many mix host sites out there now and more people will download our mixes if they dont have to go through some sign up thing and they are just presented with a direct link to the mp3

Yep completely agree Triq.
The signup is only required at the mo as we're in private beta, getting some feedback and making some tweaks and improvements, ensuring we scale properly etc before opening up proper.
Would love to hear what sites you like at the mo, what features you think are important etc.
One thing we've done which people really like is built in some nice, simple social featres/feeds, so you can follow/be followed (twitter style) and so people can keep up to date with your new mix uploads really easily.

Yep they do indeed. We've been working on Mixlcoud for a year, before we knew they existed. Coincidence, but in an age of cloud computing services, not a massive one.
The services are pretty different. We're all about helping DJs connect with relevant listeners more effectively. So we have more of a fan focus, helping them filter shows to find relevant stuff - a bit like what YouTube does for video.
