What is your favourite style of Hardcore?
Do you like the Happy side or the more Harder side or perhaps a darker side.
Whatever you like or dislike, tell me.
My fav types are;
Tha original HAPPY HARDCORE
Techno breakbeat Hardcore (old skool)
Hardcore (just like Happy Hardcore only less Happy, uses more Minor keys)
The ones I hate are;
Gabba
Any Dutch style Hardcore over 180bpm
Any German hardcore
Any American Hardcore/metal fusion (you know, the type that has guitars in. Why the **** has a Hardcore song got Metal guitars in and why do Goths listen to this type)
=) 'ardcore!

I don't listen to that stuff either but I have a friend who loves the stuff. First of I should point out that it has NOTHING at all to do with electronic hardcore. Its roots are entirely different.
U had metal music, then people thought it needed to be harder so they started making do it, and called it hardcore metal. Quickly became just known as hardcore. From it spawned different sub-genres, like speedcore, grindcore (lot of god-awful scream...check bands like Anal **** etc).
Anyway a few of the bands in this genre have in more recent years opted to use drum machines in place of a real drummer so it can have an electronicish undertone at times I guess...

really depends on the mood i guess. i like the darker edged stuff (think rock, rock on and cold as ice) and the big vocal ones with good samples (like delirious, some of the upcoming ATM stuff, sunshine ect).
