has anyone else been getting these funny e-mails in hotmail or other email accounts?

basically it's an email from a random name, random subject and about 100k in size, then when you go to read the email there's nothing in there and no attachment to open either.

i know my pc isn't bugged coz my virus checker can detect this virus and it hasn't picked it up, but what i wanna know is how the hell they get to my email addy,is it a random thing sending to every email or has someone i know got the virus?

i hope someone can come up with an answer coz these mails are pissing me off now,the junk mail filter doesn't even pick them up either! cheers anyways

I know this one...its a virus in your comps that automatically generates and
sends these emails to you...those emails are virusses too, but by hotmail
account they won't open, only if you use a outlook program, once opened
your comps gets infected.
I found out what it was, got the name of it too...but can't remember it now.
I'm on e network system I think someone here infected my comps, for
apparently it spreads through the network system. *ARGHH*
It attaches itself to a DLL file and sits there, and it's active sometimes more
then other times, supposedly in your C:, E: or G: drives.

I think I got it right...I'll have to check again to make sure.

No...that means you have it already, you get it without even knowing...only after recieving tons of funny mails you know you have it...so you got it, I think...and the virusscans wont pick it up either, only after an extensive search, well, not that extensive you'll find it. and its attached, you'll have to delete and replace the infected file...I think. God there are so many I get confused, but I'm pretty sure.
