Just curious does anyone know what hardware/software alot of these scouse house producers turn hardcore are using?

I'm a stickler for that bass sound and need to know how its done!

Thanks,

dave implex

If you mean the scouse house donk, there's an entire thread about it here:

http://www.happyhardcore.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=25086&whichpage=1

Its a really good read. While it doesn't really give you anything specific about patches or which synth to use, it *does* have info on how to make your own, with oscillator settings etc.... Thats much more helpful :)

I know. I'm not an idiot. Read my freaking post before you make a fool of yourself. I said "If you mean the scouse house donk, there's an entire thread about it here:". Emphasis added.

Who said it had to be a VST anyway? Why can't it be a real synth, or maybe an inbuilt one like Reason's Subtractor or Maelstrom, FL Studio's 3Osc or Logic's Dcota?

Telling a guy "tweakin the oscilators an combinin a few dif 1s to make ya own sound" doesn't help him if he wants to make a specific sound. Thats idiocy.

And with that, good luck implex!

Ok guys.

I ended up using that Combinator file (tweaked the Subtractor a little bit) and then exported my bass pattern as a wav.

Then brought it back into Cubase and ran some EQ, QuadraFuzz and Compression on it.

Sounds a treat. Will upload a sample tonight when I get home from work.

Not bad.... you've got the right harmonics for it, but the attack is a little blunt. Try experimenting with the envelope settings and you'll have a fantastic donk on your hands!
