Alright, let me start by giving your some background about myself so you can help give me the info i need easier. i got a dj gemini (sp?) pack when i was around 12. i then got some numark's that werent in a pack. i quit djing because i didnt know what to do at all. i liked stuff like Sid (slipknot) and dj jon or whatever (linkin park). sense then i have mastered the Car Audio world so i know lots about analog and ohms ect. i have been listening to happy hardcore lately and i decided to take my tables back out of the closet and try to seriously tackle this art. i have always loved music and i have always loved electronics so i have always been atracted to djing. i do not expect to become a "happy hardcore god" overnight or anytime soon. i just want some direction.
here is my question:
this music is soooo complex, how is it made? i dont even know how to loop beats. cd players? beat makers? i know about sample cds but i wanna know EVERYTHING i should look into with more detail to start PRODUCING my own DJ material. can you guys point me in the right direction for equipment(considering it is a given to have at least 2 tables and a decent mixer), sounds (samples.... how they are made... ect), other forums ect.
i hop i was clear enough on the info i am looking for, so i was wondering.... can you guys help me out?
Thanks...
Marc... aka DJ Double M (friend gave me that dj name...... so i laughed and went with it)
***btw, i have read alot of these forums and i DO KNOW it will take time to master this art of beauty.***

okay maybe you can help with this... i just read an article on http://music.hyperreal.org/library/ and it said that to make music, you produce some beats on a comp and loop them. then you play then wherever. do you not loop beats with your tables but actually your computer? im so lost on what to manually make and loop, and what to just sample and loop. and even if you cant help me out, is there ayone that can? im just looking to make music not digitally but analog....ly?

If you already have Fruity loops then you are on the right track. Your explanation is really confused. You don't write tunes on decks you mix them (unless you are ahip hop dj. Get a copy of Reason or Cubase and start learning it is the only way. If you actually want a live set up then you are lookin at a small fortune, get a 303 drum machine, some analogue synths, some digital synths, a good quality digital sampler, a mixing desk and a rack of filters and whatnot. Baisically you write tunes on the computer or this equipment (computer is much cheaper and once you master it you can integrate external synths/Filters/samplers etc...).
