Opinions on Hardstyle?
I've noticed my drift away from the core because from what I've heard so far,
I don't get that satisfaction of 'peak euphoria' if you know what I mean.
I don't know if it's just me or if the act. sound of Hardcore is really changing - into a style not of my liking. It's still only less than a month into the new year, should I give it some time? Is there something big to look forward to? Banging tunes...
As of Hardstyle and those bloody sssssssssiiiiiiiiiikkkkkkkkkkk mental tunes, i'm satisfied.
(oh yeah! guess what? i'm getting decks for my 16th birthday! [15 march])

Agreed but i do love mixing hardstyle to a crowd it creates a slightly more up for it atmosphere than Nu Skool. Not sure why tho cos IMO Nu Skool is better (perhaps it's slightly more commercially friendly)

Yeah it depends who you are playing to, Hardstyle is often liked be Hardtrance and Hardhouse people, and is not that far away genre wise.

True. I've applied to be a new resident for Vibealive in their new second room and chances are I'll be playin Hardstyle. It will be interesting to see what people at a hardcore night make of it. Always used to go to North Radical Technology @ Lakota in Bristol and it always went down well there.

many times ive gone off hardcore and gone looking for a new style of music. hard house, hardstyle, hard trance, dnb and the only ones that have had a lasting effect on me are Gabber (closely related), Hip hop (still love it, but in spurts - like hardcore) and bits of rock.
ok gabber for me seems to be my #1 genre now (i tend to go through phases with the others whereas gabber always lasts) but the rest were just novelties really. my heart lies in hardcore and even if i prefer something else at the time i just cant get into the scene the same way i have in hardcore.
