There is this song on the Take That and Party Album which sounds like old skool techno, the kind of stuff I loved (and still do) when I was youger but didn't know what it was. Does anyone know anymore about why tehy chose to have a track like this as they were a boyband?

A few of their early tunes were very dance sounding (Do what you like had a cracking piano melody in it)!
The only reason for those tunes is that it was the sound that was popular at the time - they were a new band so the producers (nothing to do with the band) chose a sound that was really relevant for that mid 90's period.
As they got more popular and were taken more seriously, their sound changed too.
So while it might be interesting to speculate that Gary Barlow was a secret Euro-Techno freak, the truth is a lot more boring!
Now i'm embarrassed for knowing so much about Take That!

Really? Take That where/ are sound look at the talent that came from tyhem (Robbie Williams) and Gary Barlow a Techno fan? I never knew that
