Can I just ask is there any websites, or any material at all, which would help me understand the very basics of music production on computers.
I have got Reason and Acid Pro and I have asked questions about stuff, but becasue I know nothing about music production, all the answers make hardly any sense. You may be wondering why I spent £200-£300 on software i didn't know how to use, but the truth is I didn't spend a penny.
I would also be grateful if that if anyone has made a tune on reason, and they don't plan to do anything with it, could you let me have it so i can look at how it is made and what "vst's" (whatever they are) you have used?

best way to learn is practice. just mess with sounds. start with a preset and tweak it. you won't pick it up in a weekend.
what version of reason are you using.
and if its a "borrowed" version i hope you plan to pick up your own copy if you like it.

Cheers for the link, I'll probably get that when i get some cash
About the fact of buying it, at the current moment in time producing is no more than a small hobby. I am currently at Uni with about £50 in me bank and income of £35 a week.
My student loan pays my accommodation and meals, so to spend £300 i would have to not go out at all or buy ANYTHING at all for about 9 weeks straight.
I don't think I'll buy it yet then.
