These are questions for any dj's. I have been getting more and more in to Scratching, having always loved linkin park and just discovering the X-ecutioners what sets of dual turntables would you recommend for some one new (under 250). The Second Question is where can you buy good vynil, especially blank, every blank source ive found has been upwards of 60$. Any help is welcome.

Welcome to the site!
$250 isn't going to get you much as far as turntables go. Make sure that whatever tables you do get are direct drive, as opposed to belt drive. The only decks that I have ever used are the Technics SL1200's, but those are going to cost you a bit more.
Exactly what do you mean by "blank" vinyl?

I understand that u need blank but pressed vynil to skratch to the backround of another full song. (do you need two turntables or is that just a myth to make me spend more money). thanx for the info

huh? blank but pressed? a blank vinyl is what I would think of as a non-pressed vinyl.
you only need one turntable or cdj & a mixer to scratch with. most people buy more than one so they can beatmatch and mix records.

yeah i don't get what you mean about blank vinyl.... i use scratch vinyls, which are vinyls with test tones, and samples on them etc... the one im using at the moment is called ultimate scratch weapon #5.

if you want your own tune pressed it cost 60£ for the first on and then it gets cheaper if you get pressed 100 you will get the prise down 2 6£ or so...
its expensive but there is also alot of working in cutting a vinyl....

Im looking to scratch mostly softer music, not as many grinding beats. (A good example of this is the Linkin Park song "session", if u havn't heard it do it now)but definetly good solid drumlines

Im also a huge fan of trance dance music and im looking to scratch mostly vynil. If you know any good dealers that'd be cool. Still looking for some good decks.

so are you just wanting scratch records or are you wanting to mix trance as well?
for scratch records your best bet is to find a local hip hop record shop...for any dance records your best bet is online stores, usually =P

if you're just wanting to scratch you'll need higher end tables, ie technic 12's, vestax pdx's, & numark ttx's.
and just try hitting up hip hop shops for scratch records. it will be hit and miss when you first start trying to find records that suite your style.
