I've recently started using Reason and started to get my head sround it. I just wanna ask everyone else who uses this software on what to use exactly to get a proper bass patch cos all the bass patches ive used sound crap compared to the hardcore music I listen to
If ne 1 can help i wud be damn grateful

This isn't really a Reason question as it relates to anything involving music production. It's all about layering. You can usually get a better bass sound if you layer two and they go well. I do one with a very bassy empty sound and then another like a saw that has a sound or character to it.
When I used Reason briefly, I was able to make a decent sounding bass with one of the on-board Reason synths. If you can't, try it with the VST V-Station.

Use a sine wave for a sub bass sound and layer it with a sawtooth wave. To get sum fuzz add a distortion unit.
