Ok How do you guys get those drums to sound like that? Mine are so tin-like and crappy. Do you use make your own or do you buy a cd with them on. I can't get to sound like that on FL 5 any tips?

Syphon: Sorry I wasn't paying attention since there was not enough intelligence in the question.

Kryptic: I'll take that as a No.

Use hardstyle/hard trance kicks.

They work really well.

Depending on what program(s) you're using, there are a few ways to go about it. For my kicks, I use FL 5, and I have found that the TR909 drumsynth is a godsend. To get an echoey kick, increase TIME in the drumsynth preset, or for a loud thumpy kick with emphasis on the low end and band, adjust the TONE up for loud obnoxious kicks or lower for bouncy kicks.
Another fun effect for hardcore kicks is a simple reverb with about a 40-50ms predelay, as well as a whole plethora of other ways of making a phat kick. Just play around, thats the best way IMO :)

You could use some distortion on the kick, if that's the sound you're going for.

Use ANY Kick + the following .

Steinberg VST effect called QUADRAFUZZ

CamelPhat 3 http://www.camelaudio.com/camelphat.php

or even this to fill the kick http://www.kvraudio.com/get/1620.html - Using distortion is fine but it still might need some punch

when you hear a Hardcore sample cd you will so find that Quardafuzz might have had something to do with alot of the kick effects . But the new Camelphat is well worth checking out .
