or that too, make sure you have it plugged into line and the output for the channel is on line

What's the difference between line in and phono?
can one use 'em both? and have 4 sound sources into a 2 channeled mixer? (use the line in/phono switch?)

phono is used to handle a lower input signal and hence has a higher gain on it.

I don't know the exact specs between the two.

and yes you can have 4 sources on a 2 channel mixer, but you'll only be able to have one source per channel as an output. when you switch from line to phone (or vice versa) it kills the sound on the line in and plays the phono in.

As I was thinking , I think I'll get a 2 channeled mixer (or maybe a 3..)

Would that make any difference?
but how often do one use more than 2 sound sources at a time? change from one track to another?

some people like to mix 3 songs at the same. I'd say since your starting out you wouldn't want to worry about that yet

Mix three songs at a time??
What would that sound like? And how do one use the crossfader to crossfade 3 songs? or do you just play 'em all at the same time? seems weird to me atm

most likly use an upfader for the third.

you mix 2 together, then add the third, drop one out and add another n so on... i dont particulary like what ive heard tbh its a bit too full-on. i like it in very small doses but thats about it
