Nick Rafferty
sundissential/ dropzone management/ honey pot- UK
From ’95 when Nick first got his belt driven turntables he has come a long way in the dance scene. It has been a steady climb through the rank as he has learned and perfected his trade. From the early days playing the odd bar and commercial venue to the current circuit of playing some of the best events in the UK; Sundissential, Godskitchen Global Gathering and other arena gigs, Slinky, Progress, Golden, Frisky, Polysexual, R.o.a.r., Tranzaction, Insomniakz, Fully Charged, Delicious and various Tidy Parties, Nick has proved himself in every environment.
His long-term residency with Sundissential meant he was the obvious choice to mix both the first and second compilations released by the club. They have had great worldwide success! Along with these he has mixed the compilations; 21st Century Hard House on React with Ziad and Simon Eve, In at the Deep End on DP with Andy Farley, The Harder They Come also with Andy Farley and the NRG Files for Alphamagic.
On the Production front Nick has had Twelve releases under his own name including the Classics, ‘I need a Fix’ on Tidy Trax, ‘Can U dig it’ on Sundissential, ‘Jumpin’ on Bulletproof and the ‘RiffRaff Eps’ getting plays on John Peel’s Radio 1 show! He has done various remix work including the yet to be released mix of the all time classic ‘Happen’ by All Boxed in. Towards the end of 2002 Nick set up NR Recordings with the first three releases out and tearing up dancefloors all over!
Infiltrata
PHOTEK PRO / TEKDUBZ / TECH ITCH / IMPERIAL / BARCODE
His motto, "Eat, Sleep, and Shit Drum & Bass," suits John well. However, his strength as a Dj/producer have since overshadowed his talents on the Mic taking him to various parts of Europe and just about every city stateside worthy enough to host quality drum & bass events. John's ability to control minds behind the decks is comparable to his skills on the mic, because his energy is highly contagious. With recent releases on Tech itch records and the title track 'Us Against The World" (longside Demo) on Barcode Recordings, Infiltrata is set to throw down another slammin' set for Seattle.
Gaz James
Funky Techno-Dropzone-UK/ Sundissenital
Gaz James has been mixing since early ’98. He began as a clubber and after watching many dj’s, took it upon himself to learn to mix and soon developed his own pumping style which has been recognised world wide. Gaz has bags of talent and will definitely be one to look out for in the future. Gaz has appeared on the same line ups worldwide as many recognisable dj’s and dance acts such as: Josh Wink, Dirty Vegas, Charlotte Birch, Anne Savage, BK, Ed Real, Lee Haslam, Paul Glazby, Andy Farley, Lisa pin up, The Tidy Boys, Rob Tissera, Scott Bond, John Kelly, Q-bert [no1 turntableist in the world, USA], Deepsky [USA], Ian M, Ilogik , Nick Rafferty to name but a few.
He also co – promotes his own club night “Dropzone” where he is also a resident and Plays alongside the best names in hard dance every month..
