I'm thinkin about gettin a CD deck (probs just one at first, just for the odd tune I have on CD or whatnot). I'm not looking to spend loads on pioneers so I was wondering what is the best CD deck for value for money. Probably looking to spend around £250-300. I don' t really care about fancy features and effects, aslong as it plays cd's without skipping, so I can mix them, then I'll be sorted. Any ideas anyone??? Cheers.

if you want to just play a song on it, a numark axis, a denon 1000 or a pioneer 100/200 will do fine

I don't like most of those do to the jog wheel isn't responsive enough for my needs.

personally the cdx or the cdj1000 are worth the money

My axis 9's were fully priced at 600 and some-odd bucks but ebay was my freind and i got a pair for 280 each.

Touch sensitive jogwheel (two functions: Start/Stop with your finger touch or you can use the jogwheel for pitch bending slightly missed beats) and several sfx to mess around with. Thankfully the BPM counter is off on this thing....which means no cheating :)

Cheers guys. I'm still very much a beginner and I'm not sure if I wanna splash out yet. I've read good reviews about the numark axis 9, anyone got them?

Silver, Ice

Since you guys have two different types of CDJ's i was wondering if you find that your digital BPM counter fluctuates constantly...thats the reason i say that the BPM counter on mine doesnt work...cuz it moves too damn much and cant get the right number.....Great for me cuz i cant use the numbers to cheat cuz it will obviously not be accurate...Just curious.

Well...other than the BPM count thing (which shouldnt be an issue anyway) this thing is very fun to mess with.

Steve, what ill do is try to find out how to post a vid using some of my freinds' available bandwidth space to post a vid of me doing a bunch of different things with it. I know that will answer some of your ?'s at least.

This thing is showing no signs of fatigue, and it also does not "accidently" eject the CD while its playing (which DOES come in handy cuz i have occasionally pressed the eject button without first pausing the CD)

Like i said..ill try to post a vid...and youll be the first to see it.
