Would it be possible for somebody with a yamaha cs1x to make a wav sample of the '303 wave' sound please?
Thanks

Is there any particular reason you want the sound from that synth? I could sample the same type of sound from other synths you see :)

Ive tried to re-create the sound using different synths but i can't get it exactly right. Its a very strange sound and the cs1x is the only synth i know of capable of making it.

I take it that it's the sound of the CS1x, then, rather than an accurate 303 sound? :)

Its not a 303 sound as in the roland tb 303 synth. Its just the name of the sound patch.
You can hear the sound in some UFO tracks such as 'Underground' and 'Hardcore'.
Its a high pitched 'buzzy' sound as UFO puts it himself.

The actual '303 Wave' Performance would be a pain to sample in full as its a velocity sensitive patch (ie the filter alters with velocity).

You should clean up.
Tidy room = tidy traxx
Nah, I know what sound you are talking about and I was after it too, once. Until I spent a day with Reason and made it for myself :P
Its a very hard screamy saw way infused with ridicolous amounts of noise. Some FM modulation will aid in adding some grit to the sound, along with some distortion.

This is incorrect. Most VST work are synthesizers (only that they are software not hardcore) that is: through the process of mixing and modulating waveforms, and applying effects, they generate their sound. They are NOT sampled.
