I remember when freeform was considered fresh and new buy no one thought that it would define itself as it's own style of music

They may be one and the same these days, but as far as I'm concerned trancecore and freeform are two totally different animals. When I think of trancecore I think of tunes like Droppin' bombs, Bodyslam, and the Bang the future remix of Eruptions "Let the music" (**tune**). If you can find it, get the first Helter Skelter: Masters @ Work album and listen to the Billy Bunter/Ramos disc and then listen to a more recent Sharkey CD from any of the Bonkers albums and you'll see what I mean.

weird, never heard anyone say the word "freeform" on the hype boards xcept me and scm and we were deffinately not talking about moh ( moh in general equals mainstream, uninspired trash).
Would happen to have a link to a thread where it's used?
and no, "be quiet" is just a mainstream hardcore anthem, u know, a track that isn't really that good but get the crowd shouting along anyway. :)
if you wanna hear the trancecore I'm talking about just try finding songs like "the wish" by beyonder, "Crowd control" & "FTWA" by nitre or "delussion" by Crypt. if you're loking for a more nu-skool trancecore track then try "Claim ur prize" by Ki-real & Ferox or download one at www.trancecore.org (if the dl-section is still up)

ps: "the wish" is one of my fave trax ever!!!!

*jumps up and down*

it'sz cuz the scenes aren't linked cuz of the continantal thing. certain scenes adopt a name cuz they think it suits them but that same name can be adopted by the scene on the other continent cuz they also find the elements in a style that would suit that description. If there were more interaction between the scenes this wouldn't have happened but it's here now and it's here to stay :)

watch and learn

What I think freeform is, is what Sharkey has on his bonkers cds... (not my style at all)
Dassfisken:
"Freeform is the best music in the world of the genres being made today.. only old happy hardcore is better"
- naaah, too noisy or disordered (or too much sounds at the same time) imo...
Real Hardcore: yaaa!! (such as Neophyte, Evil Activities, Angerfist)
Classic: Base Alert - Zoo
Funny part: I used to hate (non-happy)hardcore music, but now I love it...
