I somewhat figured out how to do this. For one, learn compression. Two, like Sam said, EQ it just right and it will sound quite punchy.

Run it through a maximizer, namely: BBE SonicMaxizer. However, it may make it TOO punchy.

Oooh, I have to get my mits on SonicMaxizer. I've been hearing loads of good things about it.

try layering waveforms with a waveform rich in harmonics, such as a square or saw wave. after layering, use the synth's or sampler's low pass filter cutoff to trim away some of the higher harmonics from this new bass patch.

also trying keeping the frequency around 70-90 hz

compression would be the best way, giving a touch of attack and dropping your decay/sustain would help too possibly
