Hey, anyone know of any vsts that shows you wat frequency your samples are playing at?

Do you mean the sample frequency, or the frequency content of the audio? I'm assuming you mean the latter, in which case, my fave is Inspector:

thanx mate, downloaded it, but dont think my pc is up to its requirements, it just sits there in idle as its installing.
might hav a browse around and see any others out there

I used to run it on a PIII 700MHz if thats any help.... it shouldn't need a drastic amount of cpu..... and for the install??? :-S

All frequency analysis VST's are somewhat misleading, considering ALL will show different frequency responses while analyzing the same sample/mix. Ideally, you should use your ears and train them to be your most reliable asset for analyzing a sound(easier said then done, I know).
Anyway, Firium is good considering it's also a damn good EQ VST,
http://www.elementalaudio.com/products/firium/ And for the whole mix something like VoxengoSoniformer2 is good, just to make sure your top end isn't too harsh, or you low end isn't too bass heavy.
