There are many possibilities to make some nice detuned saw leads. For example, one of the methods is making it with malstroms static saw waves, which one of them is detuned in cents. And of course, for nice fat sound, with unison, which is 16-voice and detuned heavily...I think, that nice sounds can by produced with this method...

http://www.bassline.szm.sk/saw_lead_detuned_subosc_comp.mp3 - and this is same preset, but there is a sub-oscillator in the middle of the audio example. The sub-osc is created with 2 detuned saws, but one octave lower...so 4 static saws are used for overall lead preset with a sub-oscillator...
