As CDJay said... You may or may not agree with me but I am in the hardcore music industry and I can tell you that sharing and piracy hurts hardcore.
I know all the arguments... Sharing hardcore with someone might bring them into hardcore then they track down the CD and buy it... I'm sure that does happen, but not everytime... that's obvious...
There are cases where people want to ID tracks with small samples of files, then that's fine... but sharing brand new commercially released CD's wrong wrong wrong... That is plain stealing.
There are also all the illegal Russian download sites, the Ebay sellers (like the one listed in this topic), the car boot salers and all the dodgy CD sellers in Asia... By downloading and sharing your allowing them to RIP OFF hardcore... you are supplying them with stuff to rip iff... to steal from hardcore... they don't love hardcore, they are in it for the money...
Exactly what Scott said on the evolution records site, you can't be the biggest fan of hardcore, demand autographs, take photos and email all the record labels for the latest information if your stealing the music... that's just two faced... your not supporting hardcore that way. You support hardcore by putting your money where your mouth is... that can be as simple as buying a CD single or legal MP3 download or going to a event or as big as putting on a massive event...
If your sharing hardcore don't expect anyone in the hardcore business to like you, don't expect anyone to do you any favors, don't expect to ever DJ an event. You can't be a fan of hardcore and rip it off... I'm not trying to scare you I think that is just plain obvious.
If people love hardcore why would you want to kick the artists in the nuts by stealing their music? It delays releases, it stops releases, it stops new remixes, it can stop artists producing... Hardcore lovers shouldn't stand for freeloaders of the music they love.
How much do you love hardcore?

Amen to that Silver.
Wise words indeed.
Now this topic can finally be laid to rest.
