Hi all, just looking for some advice as I am thinking of ripping my THC vinyl. I've tried to contact the Ramos SoundCloud account to no avail, to see if the tracks are available in the digital world....
I've got a 1210Mk5, with i will use with the pitch reset on, to try and avoid unnecessary wavering in pitch.
and a DJM 900NXS2 which i will be using as my out mixer, directly into a WAV recording device.
Just wondering if i should adjust any settings on the mixer, to make it better?
I will then run the rip through Audacity, and make it louder using the amplify feature. I know this isn't perfect, but probably the only way i could play them digitally. As i said, i have tried to enquire about getting them digitally to no success....
any help or info appreciated!

I think it would be a better idea if you could send the output of the mixer and record straight into audacity, so as to make sure nothing clipped and THEN normalize.
The turntable is totally fine. Just make sure you give it enough lead-in time for it to fully stabilize.
As for EQ, leave everything on mid-way/unity gain. I personally just treat the resulting file like I would any vinyl, adjusting the Eq's when actually mixing along with other digital files.

i dont think you get any notifications from soundcloud by default, so he probably doesnt check the site that often
