Has anyone discovered some of Scott Brown's Trance works?
SP 12 - Empathy - Corrosion - 1995
This one is interesting as it has the familiar Scott Brown structure of a lot of his releases of the time with a bouncy kick but with Trancy sounds instead and at a slower tempo. Not sure how well known this was but it still sounds very Scott Brown despite being a different style to what he usually made at the time. IT still came out of the same studio.
Trance Fiction - Lightning Strike 1998
More Trancecore than Hard Trance as it is at a Hardcore tempo but as his use of the name 'Trance Fiction' he was joining the trend of Trance influenced Hardcore releases. This one does not seem to be the most well known of the 1998 releases but it is actually a pretty good release. Would have sounded quite modern for it's time.
Orbit – Rising Sun 1999
This one off Slip Records is a bit more pure Trance and has no connection with Hardcore whatsoever. Might be a bit too mundane for some people here but the real Trance heads would like it.
Mook - Born Again 1999
Also off Slip records this one is more of an uplifting release. Some influences from 'Out of the Blue' by System F which had been a big hit the previous year. Would have been a mind-blowing modern sound for the time.
Mook - Worlds Apart
Another uplifting release under the Mook name from Slip Records. Some similarities to some of the incoming new Hardcore of the times only at the Trance tempo. Very 2002!
It seems that after 2003 Scott Brown brought the uplifting Trance effects into Hardcore as can be heard with a lot of his big releases (including the ones with Brisk) so it does not seem like he has gone back to just Trance.
Bonus: It looks like someone here did a remix of Lightning Strike!

Yep. Did that remix some years back. I've actually done two remixes of 'Lightning Strike'. I'm considering doing a bouncy Techno version at some point.
Big fan of the Corrosion stuff. Got them all on vinyl. I also like the Trance stuff he put out on Slip Records.
