Hi everyone!
Short introduction... The name's Jan Waterman, a.k.a. Januskopf, Dutch 39 year old dance music fan since elementary school. I've produced and released a number of genres like trance/techno/electro house since 2003. My childhood was heavily influenced by the 90s hardcore sound in the Netherlands and this year I've decided to become nostalgic and produce tracks in the style of that era. Last week my 2nd early/happy hardcore EP was released on the label Rave Muzik. They focus on oldschool harder styles, produced in modern times. :D I've seriously aimed at making it sound authentic and I must say it was a lot of fun! :)
Track 1 is "Chug-Jug-Chit-Chat" which aims at the old Thunderdome style with distorted guitars, a variety of oldschool synths & samples and certain movie dialogue referring to a 90s addiction...!
Track 2 is "Give & Take", a vocal happy hardcore track with crunchy bass/acid lines, familiar gated 'aaah' pads and catchy lyrics / melodies.

It would be great if you guys could give it some love if you like the release. This label deserves a way bigger fanbase in my opinion :)

Whoa, I wasn't even aware that track was promoted here back then. Yes, I'm that same Januskopf :D
So glad it got such a nice response. I was mostly focusing on electro house and techno at that time (under my name Jan Waterman and an alias Men At War), so didn't really bother to get it officially released. I created it because I felt nostalgic after the movie New Kids Turbo came out in the Netherlands, which was promoted with a happy hardcore single featuring Paul Elstak.
Thanks very much for that referral! If you wouldn't mind, could you warn those fans from back then to check out Rave Muzke 065 too? ;)
I oughta get that old download link sorted out too I suppose...
