exactly, from the looks of his SC page he's only just got into production and he already has a good idea of how he wants to structure his tracks, now he just needs to experiment with different sounds & effects etc

I like the ideas. This sort of track is a good stepping stone for new producers to establish structure, sound selection and mix down, without worrying about writing any music. I think deciding on kick samples, layering a bassline and choosing synths are good next steps to take.
Publishing music and seeking feedback is a big obstacle. Don't be deterred by needlessly negative comments. Everyone has to start somewhere and one day Thumpa will take that first step too. I encourage you to update the file with what you learn and let us know when you have something new!
