Was it that bad? Brutal feedback please!!!

One of my proudest works but alas. Any feedback, brutal, whatever else, let me know. I can take it all.

The stereo effect with the bass at 2:31 sounds a bit too crunchy. Like un-intended clipping. Other than that it's a pretty solid track.

Cheers FDB. Much appreciated.

This one I took literally days trying to pinpoint something not sounding quite right (it was one of those where you eventually become "ear blind" to the problems, but hearing back years later you know there's something up with it).

It's been one of those niggles since on a track I often play at home (was happy doing the "into the night" chords, one of my favourite tracks ever).

After having a go myself at a remix I can see some really nice things in yours. Like the chords for example. Really, really nice.

Were they like that in the original?

here's my take if anyone wants to hear it.

Sorry for the late response (extremely busy with my business atm). The chords were very different in the original but I happened to be playing around wanting it to sound very different to the original chord wise and just as a quick experiment put in chords of "hixxy - deep in the night" (the original of that was dt8 - destination) and it seemed to work.

I think now as well, the clipping bit in that lead build just seemed to happen and I left it in thinking "cool" (almost sounded like the excess buzzer on hixxy - deep in the night 2013 remix).

Done on the back of:

Another I guess I was proud of but not as much. The vocal effect at the start was just random trial and error. It seems to sit especially well after 3:30, when it's back to vocal breakdown, then 3:57 the vox effect follows.

Really good hearing your version of don't go.

- Well mastered with levels as always.
- Very nice piano (including throughout, almost like typical of the pre 2k's style)
- Good use of 1 note and then vox (1 flat note, vox on top, really works well).

Decent remix mate. Something different and it works well
