Don't think I have ever heard a Hardcore set with classically trained musicians playing right through it . Undecided if I like it, but I definitely have respect for anyone that can play a violin or guitar in key to such fast music.

Utterly ruined Adagio For Strings by looping it in the same place 'tiesto' did, it's like starting a sentence and then..

Clicked through and overall, can't say it's really for me. Think I find it too much like powerstomp, okay for one or two tracks to mix it up a bit, but really wouldn't want to hear an entire set of it.

Yeah is a bit like powestomp meets classical. I prefer more house, urban & hip hop influences in Hardcore than classical. Which is why I am unsure if it works.

I dunno, if you listen to K Komplex's adagio classical works just fine with hardcore..there's others too...not that I can remember them all at 6am though haha!

Classical or Classical-sounding works in Dutch Hardcore just fine.
Just look at Ophidian's like Nightfort or their Forgotten Moments remix.
Or from your so favorite genre, Freeform:
Synthwulf's Passacaglia

I absolutely detest it, and its all Sefa, as he's a classically trained pianist.
One track he plays a harpischord and again, just does not fit.
I know everyone and their dog in Europe loves sefa, and some stuff he does I love too, but the classical stuff can **** off out of hardcore , IT DOES NOT WORK JUST BECAUSE THEY SAY IT DOES.

It's really well executed. In that sense "It works". visually though, by the 25 min mark I'd had enough of the same people on the same boat. Gimme Candy and whistles over that any day!

Except that it's in absolutely no way like powerstomp at all. That's a really stupid comparison to make.

"absolutely no way like powerstomp"
Explain pls.
Its faster and harder than regular UK hardcore, it's perfect for the comparison I was making in that I don't want to hear a whole set of my face melting to a kick drum.

Have you actually listened to any powerstomp? It sounds like you haven't.
It was all released at 170-175 BPM, um the same as Uk hardcore and in a lot of cases wasn't actually that much harder but comparing UK hardcore to powerstomp is fair as it's effectively the same genre and scene.
This stuff comes from frenchcore which is very far from UK hardcore, so much so it's like comparing Trance to Dubstep, completely unlrelated.

I get it, you don't catch my drift.
And no never heard any powerstomp or frenchcore, so couldn't compare at all. Christ what's with people today.
I said,
"Think I find it too much like powerstomp, okay for one or two tracks to mix it up a bit, but really wouldn't want to hear an entire set of it. "
You've got the wrong end of the stick. This is not a genre comparison. I'm saying I find it too much like powerstomp in the fact that I don't want to hear a whole set of it.
Just as I find fish the same as I do corriander, in that I hate the taste of them both. That doesn't mean fish tastes like corriander. It means I hate them in the same manner.
In the same sense it doesn't matter if I compared Dubstep to Happy Hardcore.
I could have said "Think I find it (dubstep) too much like trance, okay for one or two tracks to mix it up a bit, but really wouldn't want to hear an entire set of it." That doesn't mean I find dubstep to *sound* like trance.

Powerstomp is just more than a kickdrum though. I wouldn't want to hear a whole "This is Powerstomp" set as those CD's are 7 out of 10 crap, but if I were to use all the powerstomp tracks I actually like? Yes, I could hear a whole set (which is just about as many powerstomp tracks I do like)
However, I doubt I'd ever handle more than 3 Sefa/Peacock tracks in a row

Rant over.
I get you lad, heard some frenchcore on youtube a while back and just the usual sounding frenchcore hard fast kick with all sorts of shite playing over the top of it! jesus just because its hard and fast doesn't mean you can put any old sounds over the top of it, and they probably have the cheek to slag you's brits over some of the hardcore you's make, they should listen to some of there own stuff! some of the things they use should never be anywhere near a hardcore track
