A few points from just a random fellow.

The nostalgia still remains for many people. This can range from it's various eras from different periods in time.
(early/mid/late 90s) (early 2000s/revival popularity period mid to late 2000s) (whatever there was left after that period)

It is hard to put into words right now after having a few drinks i am done in.

i have a million thoughts in my head and why today, there is no interest in whatever is hardcore now.

it is so hard to put into words but in my head i know why and it makes sense.

Even simple things like the cd release compilations like Bonkers for example and why they are increase in value now.

Even on youtube, people going through the hassle of uploading vinyl which was never on cd release.

... many things to say, but right now... i know this genre is just dead and it only has it's history to rely on to keep it alive.

however, sometime in the future.... maybe many years ahead it will come full circle again but right now and probably for few years it has been dead

Agreed.

The same thing happened with the Bonkers CDs when React folded prices slowly crept up, only to crash again when Resist was formed out of the ashes/the original albums were re-released.

Now it's clear there will be no more re-releases, the prices are creeping up again.

People are uploading vinyl that hasn't had a full quality release but like you say that's older stuff not newer stuff.

I doubt things will go full circle, and if they do, which I doubt, it'll be a new sound, maybe it'll just keep limping along like it is now.

Part of the reason I started with all my uploads was that

1) it was impossible to find songs off of CDs in any digital format to buy (either because I just arrived on the scene late or they just never were available in the first place)

2) If I wanted to listen to a specific track, it was more often than not just pulled from the CD comps, and some of those seriously cut the tracks short

3) If I'm having trouble finding these songs, I'm sure a lot of other people are having the same problems.

Definitely extremely frustrating to have hopped into the scene a bit "late" (2015-2016 or so) and have half the songs I want to buy be unavailable, or were on some website in 2008 that was only up for 6 months before it folded.

That's a pretty good channel! Some of these releases never saw a digital release, which makes it even more precious!

Quite a lot of the latest videos on their channel have been released digitally at one point though

I think a bonkers album may be in the pipeline. I?ve heard something you see. The new bonkers radio show on beats 106 came about from the guy who was involved with react/ resist. He approached Hixxy and sharkey to do a radio show. Based on how successful it is an album may come in the near future.
Also Hixxy mentioned he is liking some of the new freeform bits and sharkey isn?t just playing old bonkers tunes on the radio show......

I'm not liking this 160 bpm trend, that's for sure.

I?ve heard something similar. Hopefully it does come to fruition.

I doubt it'll be something aimed at bonkers fans though. I think the main audience for it will be whoever liked Clubland and the current Gammer & Darren Styles. And maybe some who like the Australian HTID or HU at the moment.

Do you think that hardcore will make a comeback?

i don't think you can replicate the times and influences happened during them years from the late 1980s to the late 2000s. For most observers i think the whole "Clubland" thing overshadowed the scene in it's last main run.

Apparently Saiyan over at FB thinks 160 is the way to go, saying things like "160 gives more space for the sound" (I'll touch on that bit abit more further down).

Sure, as long as it's (near) non-vocal, I don't mind mixing 160 BPM stuff at 180 or faster. I've been mixing slower English and Dutch Hardcore/Gabber, Makina, Hard Trance and Hardstyle since basically forever at atleast 180 or above (although my very first mix is only 175 :o).

Personally, I've always liked energy and speed over substance, polish and production value. I don't think I really like any polished mainstream-aiming track, although Come Running is very likable (both original and Scott Bounce's Hardstyle remix). I'll take a Sashman15 or Dopeman track any time of the day... if only dopeman could slow down a little and not overly master his stuff XD

160BPM is the way to go if you don't want to make Hardcore, if you want to make hardstyle, go do that instead.
