Nope I think it?s just a we don?t know what the problem is error. Although it happened after powering on. It went to the Pioneer DJ logo and the firmware version. Possibly corrupt firmware possibly power supply. It was working fine an hour ago I switched it off to go have lunch come back and it wouldn?t turn on.

Rung up a few pioneer DJ authorise support places and it might be a mainboard replacement. If it?s that it will have to stay broken for a long time till I can afford to fix it.

ITS ALIVE

The stress and panic It nearly killed me. I turned the plug off gave it 10 minutes and turned it on again. It would of been nice it Pioneer authorised service centres suggested trying that before telling me to send it in. Then again they don?t make profit that way.

Thank Jebus

Glad to hear it. Have you checked ventilation/heat issues?

The nexus 2?s don?t seem to get that hot. I used to have a DJM 900 and CDJ 850s and I always had to leave a gap between them because they used to get very hot but the nexus 2 mixer and CDJ?s seem to run a lot cooler. Pioneer used to specify in the manual of previous generation equipment to have a gap between them but I?m pretty sure it?s not in the nexus 2 manuals.

It took me three years to save up for them and a hell of a lot of cutbacks I spent a lot of time removing malware and viruses from old peoples computers for very little money but still it was worth it. it?s the only setup that is completely accessible to me.

I also have a DDJ 400 which I brought recently when I was unwell to use when I couldn?t get to my main setup. I use it as a practice device for setting out and planning mixes on the computer. It?s the first controller I like using and I never thought I?d say that because I?ve hated them in the past even Pioneer ones.

Thanks. Yes I am doing a lot better still very low on energy. The new medication didn?t work as well as we hoped but it has helped a little. There are some other possible big changes going on but I?m not getting my hopes up just yet. I?ve gotten this far before and had everything pulled from underneath me but I?m hopeful this time things will change.

I feel like having a possible future has made a difference to my overall wellness.

I think I know what happened I have a light above my set up that?s plugged into the same extension lead turns out the LED bulb that was in there has gone for some reason I didn?t notice it.
I pulled the bulb out and inspected it and there is a lot of black on the inside and on the contacts of the bulb so perhaps there was some sort of short which may have triggered the mixer to protect itself. The light was working earlier when are used it.

The CDJ?s Weren't on at the time as this time unusually I turned the mixer on first.

I myself take medication for psychiatric reasons, so I know what it's like to not be fully energy wise.

Remember, "The past is history, the future a mistery and the present a gift!"

Stay positive! :)

Spoke too soon.
I?m now the proud owner of a chest infection and a leg that 2 days ago just stopped working 3 tracks in to a mix I was recording.

Just woke up with the chest infection and can?t do anything about it until Monday. My nearest doctor at the weekend is an hour away. Then they might refuse to look at me. Some have in the past they get frightened when they see my diagnosis?s.

Merry Christmas. :(

So disappointed. I thought I was really getting better. I finally had a good blood test on Tuesday so I wouldn?t need another one for 2 weeks instead of the 1 week I?ve been having them for the past month or so.

I guess it was too good too be true.
