Damn! This past year has definitely been banging! Since the first anniversary We have gone
from 175 Hard Hitters to 777+ Hard Hitters. In addition to having all of the New England
hardcore DJs out, we have had DJs from Arizona, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New
York, Australia, and Scotland. One national flight. Three international flights! Our sound and
lighting production quality have continued to improve over time. We have made more
memories (Hardstyle Edition, first public screening of The Lost Year, Cotts & Ravine for the
first time in the northeast, Soappys first official hardcore booking, Dream Hard Hits, Darren
Hotchkiss for the first time in New England, Ixnay for the first [and second] time on the east
coast, shirts with suggestive phrases, and many more) that you can just see by looking at all
of the photo albums and video from the past year. We have become a community of Hard
beat addicts dying for that next Hard Hits to come around so we can all be together again.
We thank you for this Hard Hitting support and have more exciting stuff in mind for the next
year. You guys have no idea. ;) But for now, this is how we are going to pay it back to you...
Following the tradition that we started with last years anniversary party, we are going to have
a line-up consisting of past special guests and a brand new one to make for a super Hard
Hitting anniversary night! Flyin Brian is coming back with the speed-freak style that the
Dream Hard DJs are becoming known for. Dupont is back and ready to give us some double
rainbow filled goodness. And New Englands favorite kat-scratcher and producer, PKat, is
going to burn up the Hard Hitting floor for us again.
Our special guest will be our first from England. His original claim to hardcore fame was when
he created a remix of a hardcore cleaning product commercial. That remix went to take #3
on the BBC Indie chart and #8 on the BBC Dance chart. In case you have not been able to
figure it out yet, that track is Cillit Bang! And the man behind it is JAKAZiD! His talent was
immediately recognized and was not only signed To Nukleuz but also hired to be their in-
house engineer. Aside from Nukleuz, he has work released on Kniteforce Again, the Hardcore
Adrenaline compilations, and the Hardcore Underground 3 compilation. He is also one of the
few artists that bridges the gap between the West and the East where he has work released
on various Japanese hardcore labels; the most notable of which are Hardcore Tano*C and X-
Treme Hard. His current label work has been focused on getting his own Aural Adrenaline off
the ground. His notoriety has taken him from his UK home to spin in Japan, Poland, Toronto,
Chicago, and now here; which will be his first northeastern appearance.
Over the coming weeks, we will be posting youtube clips of his work, so keep your eyes
peeled on this event wall. Check out the Cillit Bang clip first and get ready for JAKAZiD the
hardcore prodigy to Hit Hard with us!
We will also be posting up photos of our next Hard Hitting shirt design soon and they will be
available at the anniversary party. The shirts will feature the same high-quality stock and the
same high-quality screen print that the I Hit Hard shirts have along with a new phrase.
And last but not least, mark5 will be providing this month's Hard Hitting support to the line-up.
