TECHNO HARD AS FUNK!!
No newcomer to the scene, Julian, Aaron and chris formed the original Liberator Dj
collective back in 1991 and started the always-burgeoning, dedicated-to-the-underground
Stay Up Forever Collective of record lables in 1993. Born out of the free techno party
scene, Julian Liberator found the movement to be, a platform for experimentation with
different styles, rhythms, sounds and structure. This aesthetic has stuck with him even
now as he splits his time between the U.k. and Brazil, manages to run a stack of record
lables with the SUF collective, nurtures and financially back underground talent untill
they can support themselves (Geezer and DAVE the Drummer to name but two!), all the while
producing tracks and packing dancefloors worldwide with his signature style. Julian lives
his art proudly and pushes the boundaries with no compromise. We’er proud to present his
triumphant, long-awaited return to Toronto!
LENNY DEE

What can be said about the legendary Lenny Dee? He started his DJing career back in 1984
and is recognized as one of New York’s earliest techno pioneers. He worked on projects as
diverse as New Order and C.O.C. and has played at pretty much every major music festival
around the world. Touring Europe in the late 80’s, he came across a new sound, ‘hardcore
techno’, and by 1991 he had founded the worlds FIRST hardcore techno lable - the infamouse
Industrial Strength Records. More recently, he teamed up with Hollands DJ Promo to launch
Idustrial Movement, a lable dedicated to pushing the boundaries of sonic brutality. all
the whhile, Lenny must have sworn off sleep as he keeps producing tracks from house techno
to electro to hardcore under a dozen or so aliases on dozens of lables. The man is simply
a beast and pure inspiration. Inside and out, Lenny Dee truly is a man dedicated to music!
